In a sentence or two — what do you do here at TouchBistro? How has your role/department evolved over the years?

At TouchBistro, I ensure that when a restaurant owner decides to use our POS system, it is set up as per their expectations and done so on time. I have only been here since January 2024 but over time, my role has evolved from coordinating deliverables to wearing multiple hats, including consulting on restaurant readiness, equipment needs, and providing hands-on solutions during hours of service.

What makes TouchBistro special to you?

What makes TouchBistro special is my team. Each individual is incredibly helpful and committed to our shared goal: customer satisfaction. As someone who values great service as both an employee and a customer, this resonates deeply with me.

What inspires you about the future of the restaurant industry?

What inspires me about the restaurant industry is how AI and technology are revolutionizing the back of house and front of house operations.  From optimizing kitchen workflows to personalizing guest experiences at the table, allowing restaurant owners to create memorable dining experiences.

As someone who interacts with customers regularly, how do you ensure their feedback is incorporated into the ongoing improvement of TouchBistro’s products and services?

I start by evaluating how the feedback can benefit other customers, then share it with my team or escalate it through our product board to ensure it’s addressed effectively in our product roadmap. 

In your opinion, what sets TouchBistro apart from other companies in the industry, and how do you see us continuing to lead in the future?

TouchBistro stands out as an all-in-one restaurant management solution, offering everything from a POS to marketing, reservations, and staff/labor management, tailored specifically for restaurants. With continuous updates and new features on the roadmap, it allows restaurateurs to streamline operations and enhance the dining experience.

What aspect of your role at TouchBistro brings you the most satisfaction and fulfillment, and why?

Restaurant owners are not your typical entrepreneurs. Receiving great feedback after helping them navigate one of the toughest industries brings me the most satisfaction. Their job involves irregular hours, managing everything from cooking to staff/inventory management and customer satisfaction. Knowing that I’ve contributed to making their lives easier and supported their mission to bring joy through food is incredibly fulfilling.

How do the core values of TouchBistro contribute to the success of your projects?

By fostering collaboration, accountability, and a customer-first approach I stay focused on delivering quality solutions, meeting deadlines, and creating meaningful relationships for both the team and our customers.

Can you share a memorable experience or interaction you’ve had with a restaurant owner or staff member that made you proud to be part of the hospitality industry.

After a successful onboarding, one of my customers invited me to their menu launch/opening. It was a packed opening day and I saw guests enjoying the first menu launch powered by our POS. Knowing I played a role in setting up a system that helps serve so many happy guests everyday made me proud to be part of this industry.

What’s your go-to comfort food or guilty pleasure snack?

Prawn chili with fried rice – my latest obsession!
